The main points of this research paper are to discover dependable practical technical design solutions for sound and sound effects for Nigerian live theatre and media productions. The research design is survey method in order to discover solution for sound and effects in theatre performances. The findings of this research are that considering the challenges facing technical theatre in Nigeria-poor funding, architectural limitations and technical installation mayhem, both technical directors and technical students need forums where they can share ideas and solutions to specific sound and sound effects production challenges. This paper concludes that this work will be of great value to the technical directors and technical students whenever a production problem arises concerning managing sound and effects. This work will be the first resource to which technical students should turn to for practical solutions.
