Hebrew Etymology of Psychology of Religion

Abstract

The Hebrew etymology of Psychology of Religion is an attempt to understand the meaning, or to offer an appropriate definition of “Psychology of Religion: The Study’s statement of problem points out that, if psychology from its root meaning is the soul or inner-man, does it correspond to the current concept of psychology as mind or behavior. Hence, can psychology of religion be called mind, behavior or soul of religion. Relevant classist texts on Religion and psychology were consulted. The study’s findings and recommendations are that, if the root origins of the words “Psychology” and Religion are to be followed (i.e as addictive behavior), then Psychology of Religion currently conceived as Brainal Production and control of religious behavior could be well suited.
